Towns & Festivals

Towns: Once you reach level 10, you are allowed to join a town and be a part of a community, or you can start your own town by paying a few diamonds. You start off with a capacity of 10 members per town, which can be expanded to a maximum of 15.  As a resident of a town you have the right to leave whenever you like, though sticking with one town, perhaps with a few friends is better for the long run.

Each town is a part of the leaderboard and is ranked based on town points. These points are earned by the residents of that town during festival time (starts Friday till Sunday every week). Each week's points add up to a total which determines your standing on the leaderboard. Festivals will be discussed in another segment below. You can view your towns total points and standings on the leaderboard or at the town hall.

As a part of a town you can visit your town whenever you like and also be able to visit any of the other residents of your town.

A major benefit of having a town is that you get 3 Free telephone orders from your town daily. These can be completed to earn spices. Visit the Spices page to learn more about this. Another benefit of the town is the town chat, where all the residents of the town can chat on a single forum. This is great for socializing with your town members and helping each other with the game or just gossip.


Festivals: Festivals are a time of fun and joy. Same holds true in my cafe. Festivals are a weekly task that start on Fridays and end on Sunday. These festivals are available to anyone who is a part of a town.

What do you do during a festival?
When the festival start you will receive a notification that the festival has begun. Start by going to your town, then click the town hall and click the festival button (looks like a circus tent).
There you will see a list of 10 tasks. These tasks are visible to all the town members and can be completed by any of them.

Click on a task to see what it requires you to do. At the bottom it will show you the rewards for completion of the task. Each task rewards certain amount of town points (based on difficulty of task) and a few gems.

When the festival starts off, the tasks will be easier and reward with few points somewhere between 15-100. As more and more tasks are completed by the town members, the tasks get harder and offer much higher rewards, (400-700 points per task). Therefore the more tasks your town completes the better, as it unlocks better ones and offers the town the potential to earn many more points in the weekend. 

TIP: Festivals are a great way to earn yourself some free gems during the weekends, so dont miss out on them.

NOTE: Once you accept a task you CANNOT cancel it. It must be completed before you can choose a new task. So pick a task carefully, preferably one that you think you can complete fast.

Another important thing to note is that these task must be completed within the weekend, once the festival is over, all incomplete task will vanish.

Once a member of the town has selected a task to complete, no other member can select the same one and must choose a different one. You can see on the same task list which of the town residents has taken up the task. It will display their profile photo on top of the task they have chosen.

Once a task is completed by a resident it will vanish from the list and a new task will appear in its place. Each member of the town can complete 5 tasks for Free. If you wish to do a 6th,7th and 8th task, it will require you to pay 10,20 and 50 diamonds respectively to accept them. This is advisable for those who have spare diamonds and are looking to climb the learderboards quick. Each member can complete a total of 5 Free and 3 Paid Task per festival.

At the end of a festival, every member of the town can see who completed how many tasks and how many points each one of them earned for the town. This can be seen at the town hall for a short period of time after the completion of the festival.
